The beautiful flowing colors, sturdy structure, and durability of Pangea Ghost Wood Branches make them an excellent choice for any terrarium, vivarium, or aquarium. This natural product comes from the Manzanita shrub but differs from a more commonly seen product of Manzanita branches that are extremely thin. The Pangea Ghost Wood branches come in many shapes, and sizes where branches may be forked and some have several tones of color that flow through the curves of the branches.
The size, shape, and color greatly vary by each branch. We will do our best to fulfill requests but the selection is subject to availability.

Directions
Clean with veterinary disinfectant (e.g., chlorhexidine) or bake at 250°F for 1-2 hours. If baking, watch closely to prevent scorching or fire hazards.
Ensure the branch is securely positioned to keep it from shifting or falling in a way that could harm your reptile.
Manzanita resists mold and rot but isn’t immune. Clean often and provide dry periods to mitigate these issues. If using in an aquarium, boil to remove tannins before submerging.

Every wood product that we ship to you must pass these new quality standards before it is deemed fit to ship. Wood pieces that fail to pass these checks are set aside and not shipped to you.

Our sizing standards ensure that each piece of ghost wood that you order from Pangea Reptile will fit into a certain size range, based on what option you select:

Since all of our wood is organic and naturally grown, we offer sizes within a certain range band. The wood is a living object, so every piece will be shaped and sized a little differently! When sizing, we measure the longest dimension of the piece.
Quality Standards
In addition to the size checks, we also appraise the quality of your wood product based on whether or not it passes the following quality checks:
Does the piece have a rough texture?
Ghost wood is typically smooth since the bark is sandblasted off, but it should have a texture that is rough enough to serve as firm grippable footing for climbing reptiles.
Does the piece have bands of color in its grain?
Ghost wood typically features intermingling darker and lighter color bands. We select our pieces based on having this aesthetically pleasing feature.
Is the piece free of sharp edges?
We ensure that your ghost wood branch does not feature excessively sharp edges that could potentially harm you or your reptile.
