Default how to keep the proper humidity in the terrarium?

So I just recently purchased a baby crested gecko, and I dont currently have coconut husk down to ensure hes eating and pooping, but I sprayed down his cage with a mist bottle and it went up to around 80, i came back and within 2ish hours it was back down to 50% should i be worried about this?

Have you calibrated your hydrometer? And it is common for it to spike and drop, and 50% is fine, however if it maintains at 50% for many hours it will lead to shedding issues.

Use paper towel for your baby to minimize risk of impaction for a while. Mist a couple of times a day, and keep monitoring your humidity. Do you have any lighting?
