Default What do you do when your chameleon dies?

We had a panther chameleon in a viv, everything set up properly and had all the correct temps and humidity levels etc (both with advice from the vet and the pet shop). Unfortunately Pascal wasn’t well and we believe he wasn’t well when we first got him and after a long drawn out period of daily injections and syringe feeding and water, he sadly passed away. Our viv is live planted with lots (hundereds) of cleaner bugs. Do we need to clear it all out and start again as he died in there? We’ve heard conflicting things and want to get more advice as in the future we will be getting another chameleon.

Without a clear cut reason for why the animal died, it is always safest to just start over.
