  • Hatchling with a dented head?!

One of my eggs hatched at 60 days. The baby is tiny and seems to have a dent on the top of his head. His clutch mate did not survive - the egg deflated.

What could be the cause of the dented head, and do you think he will survive? He hatched Wednesday night. I took him out tonight and he was sooo feisty with his mouth wide open, lunging at me.

A pic would definitely help. Sometimes the top of the head is more swollen in hatchlings due to moisture not being fully absorbed or something like that. This can make it appear to be a dent going longways down the head.
