Thanks. There is some variability when fired up. The nicest examples in the first generation fire up like bluish toned slate and fire down to a light sky blue. The one in this thread is a second generation example and has developed the blue tone at a much younger age. I am hopeful that this is an indication that it is not linked to a hormonal change. The first generation animals showed the coloration around the sub adult phase and therefore had me wondering if it was hormone related.
This base coloration is definitely heritable and may be linkred in some way to chalky white patterning and/or the reverse outlining at the pinstriping and around some of the pattern. Im working on outcrossing the line this season. This should keep it strong and give me some indication on how the trait works when bred to different base color and pattern combinations.

What a stunning little animal! Love how the reverse pinstripes are repeated on the laterals. And that bluish color... really cool1.2.1 Crested Geckos "Jackson Pollock", "Pumpkin Spice", "Nibbler", "Keikishoku" 1.0.0 Chahoua "Urmel" 1.1 Red eared sliders "Freddy Krueger" (25 years) and "Mucki" (45 years) RIP Peppermint (Green Anole)
