  • Strong plants for crested gecko tank

Hey I can't seem to find a non toxic plant that my crested geckos can climb on. If anyone could list a plant less than 20 inches tall that would really make my day!

My cresties love their Snake plants, they can climb all over them & the leaves hold their weights perfectly. Other great options can be found here: http://www.pangeareptile.com/forums/...st-(rhac-safe)

Lucky bamboo is way sturdy and looks nice, though there isn't much foilage. Very easy to do too if you don't wanna actually plant them. Get 3-5 (different heights maybe), stick them in a jar/short vase'small glass. Add rocks/aquarium pebbles to add weight so it doesn't tip. And just make sure theres always water in it (preferably spring).

I have 2 in my tank. Here's what they look like.

There's a lot out there really. Snake plants (Sanseveria sp.) are a favorite, especially a variety called bird nest. I'm also a big fan of bromeliads as they are great for hiding and have a natural water basin. Vines such as Pothos, Philodendron, and Wandering Jew are also good, but will need something to be set up on.

Dracaenas (sp?) are awesome too. Strong enough to hold sleeping geckos and hardy enough it seems like they could grow in vinegar.

Ill vote for snake plants as well. Super easy care requirements, very sturdy leaves and NASA is studying them b/c of their ability to remove pollutants from the air. So doubly good!
