    One thing, I didn't actually add a drainage layer under the top soil. How vital is this? I have a layer of plain topsoil and eco-earth on top of that.

    I would add a drainage layer otherwise your plants will likely get root rot by being kept too moist.

      Yeah I would add a drainage layer of hydro balls or a garden screen (you can get both from Home Depot/Lowe's) as drainage; your plants roots will rot otherwise.

        Looks really sweet, but I'd get rid of that hammock. It's ruining the natural thing you have working so well. There are mushrooms you can get that silicon onto the sides and they look really nice. Just my 2 cents, otherwise, sweet setup.
