When buying plants that have fertilizer, it is best to thoroughly rinse off all dirt from roots and in some cases repot for 6 months. The repotting generally is best for animals that have a tendency to munch on the plants.

This plant: Aralia (Polyscias balfouriana) is an exoticangles plant. The description on their webpage says it is from New Caldonia. I assume this would be safe for crested geckos??? I couldn't find it in this thread.

Here's the page on exotic angels. http://exoticangel.com/Varieties/Sho...px?productid=3

Bumping cause I don't want this to get buried. This is a plant not in the good or bad list and it probably needs to be.

I also found general information on another website. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/55551/

It says handling may cause allergic reaction or irritation. I have not experienced any irritation or reaction to it.

Just have to keep it clipped back. Most house plants that can be used in a terrarium need to be groomed.

Can phalaenopsis orchids be used as a terrarium plant with crested geckos if it is rinsed and repotted? Has anyone tried this?

sorry to say but the cresteds would pummel almost any orchids I can think of. Only viv I can think of that they would be okay in would be some kinds of frogs (darts) or other small sp.

Hmm yeah I was thinking that the flowers might be too delicate for them to be placed in their viv, thank you!

                              Plant question

Does anyone know whether a Sago palm is toxic?

**Never mind, this plant is extremely toxic to humans and animals. It causes liver damage among other things and should be avoided.**
