Hi everyone, I'm a new gecko owner and just got my little guy Cipher this past May at a reptile expo. Since then, I've been monitoring his eating while letting him sleep during the day to get him into a schedule and what I'm curious on is what would be Your processes of hand taming him?
When I got him, I was told he's just over a year old weighing in at 26grams and since then, he's gained a healthy 10grams. I held him the first night he came home and he was pretty relaxed and now he has become a little shy now, turning away as if he's bored when I hand feed him in his tank or he just jumps to other decor. I'm thankful he's never relieved himself while on me nor has he bit me but should I ever need to take him out of the tank for any reason, I'd like to make sure he is used to me.
I am more than happy to hear your opinions and/or stories of when you got your geckos!
Here is my little shy boy:
