  • Newbie here...have few questions

Hi all! First time posting here. Got our very first adult (I think) female crested yesterday. My daughter named her Rosie! They bonded a week ago at a privately owned pet shop. My daughter LOVES holding her. We visited her a few times in the pet store before finally bringing her home. We have a bioactive setup in an 18x18x24 exo for her. She has already eaten last night! Pet store told us not to handle her for 2 weeks so she can settle in but others have told me until she eats which she has done already. Thoughts? Also, how long should she be handled for at a time? My daughter help her for an hour at the pet store last week lol. I don't want to stress her out too much lol. How do I post pics?

I would limit holding to 5 min a day the first week or so since she is eating already, just until she gets used to her new surroundings. But if you can wait atleast 1 week then that's the better option

Also I use Photobucket to upload my pictures and just copy and paste the link to here.

I'd wait two weeks before handling her. After that, 5 minutes at a time until she gets used to you guys. She can be held til she gets stressed out. I use imgur, but you can use any hosting site. Copy and paste img URL .
