  • Is this a safe fern?

    I have these in the woods behind my house just curious if anyone knew what it was and if it's safe for vivariums?Click image for larger version

    It's probably fine but it will also probably die off when the light levels go down in the winter.

        Yup. It's not a tropical fern, it's a temperate fern that is primed to die off in the winter. It may come back in the spring, or not -- some temperate species require a cool/cold winter.

          That's very interesting? I tried doing my own research but there's so many different types of ferns I was lost I. Pages of research ferns are really remarkable plants though I must say
