    vermiuclate and perlite can be purshased at a place like home depot right? but just for the record.. has anybody have succesful accidental eggs hatch within a naturalistic set up?

      I am not sure about Crested but with my Leos I use Peralite. What was explained to me was it held the humdity better and kept the eggs up from the moisture. Do Cresteds need more humidity? What is the ratio of water/to base? With the leos I use .8/1.

          Pretty much the same for cresteds but I have experimented using 1:1 and up to 1.5:1 water to vermiculite by weight. I have pretty much the same positive results at all the different ratios. Just shows how hardy crested eggs can be.
