Custom foam background question

If you apply it directly to the glass it does take effort to remove it, a razor blade to scrape it off. If you can get get a piece of thin styrofoam, cut it to fit, and then apply the expanding foam to that it works great, and makes it easy to remove and clean. You can also create a form using a sheet of plastic and build your background in the form, peel off the plastic and trim to fit.

If I make an expanding foam background for my enclosure is it hard to get so I can redo the enclosure when it’s repurposed? Has anyone attempted to remove expanding foam completely after it is hardened?
