How to tell if you hurt your crested gecko

My sisters boy friend wanted to see my new crested gecko, so I lifted up its log to see if it was there, then after I couldn’t find it for a couple of minutes I lifted up a plant next to the log, and it jumped out. How do I tell if I hurt it? It’s just a baby so I’m extra worried.

This is it after jumping out, it’s day time so was it just upset that I woke it up.

It was probably just a bit startled from getting woken up, it's pretty normal for them to try and run away when you try and pick them up, especially if it's new and isn't used to you yet.
