  • Slevinís Progress

Slevin has come a long way since her crushing injury; dislocated hip & fractured spine. Sheís a strong headed & determined gal. Strongest foot grip of any chahouas I know.

Since she’ll be old enough for laying next year, I‘ll be getting her sterilized in the fall. I highly doubt that she’d be able to pass any eggs without causing serious injury to herself.

Either her or her clutchmate dislodged a piece of corkbark in their enclosure while hunting crickets, and while trying to free herself it caused injury to her. She was on antibiotics & pain meds for a month, vet was impressed with how determined she was at such a young age. She’ll never be 100% like other chahouas, but she can live a long happy life.
