I am so sorry, Cin. Grace was such a lucky cat to have found you to love her and take such great care of her.

I think it is the biggest thing that we owe to our pets' devotion, to be there in the end, even though it is so painful for us. Thank you for being brave and being there for her. I am sure she was able to feel the greatest comfort in that.

I do appreciate your words. I do agree that it is so hard for us to be there when our pets are at their end, but we owe it to them to not let them go alone.
I used to work at an animal hospital, years ago, and was always the one that would stay with the animal, holding it and comforting it if their owners could or would not stay with them. I think that is so incredibly important that they have someone who loves them with them at that time. I would cry for each of them....it was very painful, but I felt the right thing to do.

We did bury Grace tonight on the family farm. Just so incredibly sad right now. The other cats are acting off tonight. They understand that something has happened...

When the time is right, I'm sure another little critter will present itself to you to help fill the void.

Even though it will never REPLACE Grace, it will benefit from the 100-fold love that you and Grace shared. And Grace will smile down on you and thank you for saving another precious little one!

And the chain of love will continue.
        Love and Light-
        Donna

Cin, you did a wonderful thing, giving Grace such a warm and loving life. She was lucky to have you guys, and got to end her life in the best way possible: well loved and cozy and cared for. She was a beautiful kitty. RIP, Grace

Aw I'm sorry. Losing a loving cat is very hard. She spent her last years in joy and happiness with you though.
