  • RIP Jinx

This is so very hard to type, but Jinx's was just diagnosed with osteosarcoma, rapid onset. Alex is with her now and they are putting her to sleep. I couldn't stay inside because it is just so hard for me to loose my little girl.

Tex, Thor & Butch are waiting for you at the rainbow bridge. RIP Jinx

        Thanks!

The vet told Alex that this type of cancer is not very painful and is extremely fast acting. At the first sign of a limp it is already to late to treat and once swelling starts then it's in the end stage. Jinx showed no sign of any pain at all and even had her happy-go-lucky face on all the way to the end.

So sad. I feel for you guys as my young male Doberman was sadly put to sleep less than a year ago, at the beginning of this month I could finally look at his old photos without crying my eyes out. Hugs!!

            Oh, sweetie!!!

I've been there more than I care to think about...holding a beloved kid and seeing them drift off to join the rest of the clan at the Rainbow Bridge.

It was the same way for my mom's doxy, Abby. By the time the spots (looked like hickies or brush burns) appeared on her tummy, the autoimmune disease had already set in to that point where it was too late. And the spots are the first stage!!! Two weeks later, she was sick at the vet's, and being put down.

We thought it was just from her playing too rough with Taz, Timmy, and Snowy.

My sincerest condolences. I've walked in your shoes any times, and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

I'm here if you need to talk, cry, vent...etc.

They truely break our hearts. The selfless love that they give us is such an incredible thing. We will luckily see all of our beloved babies again, one day.

Hannible, I am so sorry for your loss. Its such a hard decision to make, to end suffering. At least it wasn't a horrible painful drawn out issue. And she was very well loved while she was with you. You and your family are in my thoughts. RIP, Jinx.

Thanks! I miss taking her out for our long walks. Vlad on the other hand, our kitty, was having a real hard time being the lone furry animal in the house (in the last 9 mos he has lost 2 dogs and 2 cats buddies). So he has been staying with our vet for the past week socializing with her kitties...not really sure if/when we will get him back, last I heard he was having to much fun playing kitty tag under the door with another kitty.
