I'm so sorry! This summer I woke up to a house full of smoke, but luckily it was just the furnace motor. The fire department was able to get it shut off before it actually caught fire. It was one of the scariest moments of my life, but I realize how lucky I was. I ended up with only burns on my feet from the hot pavement in our driveway because I grabbed my gecko and cats instead of shoes. I can't imagine what it would be like to actually lose your house and your animals.

I hope you are able to get through the pain and can find the strength to get another gecko soon.

Where are you located (roughly?) I have a suspicion there are plenty of us here who'd love to send you a gecko to help ease the hurt a little. It's a little cold for shipping in most of the states right now, but...
I am located east of Sacramento, CA.

I actually adopted a little buckskin hatchling last night! Photos coming soon.
