  • Hello from Long Island

Hey everyone i'm a gecko owner from long island, ny, the suffolk county area. Name is Ben and at the moment i am the owner of a leopard gecko breeding group and a colony of dubia roaches. However i am looking to get into crested geckos and hope to learn a lot from the site!

I saw you had your roach colony up for sale. If you plan on getting Cresteds, a dubia colony will come in handy! Just food for thought.

I thought about that but im moving in with my fiance and well roaches are where she is drawing the line lol. Part of the appeal with the cresties to me is that they can be raised on CGD. Heck everything about them i find is simpler then the leopards, i also like that they can utilize a tall cage thanks to their sticky pads. If things turn around with the roaches though i'll keep them but in the end i think the money will be better suited to helping me establish a good collection of cresties and a proper environment. All the money i make is going straight to them.

Thanks for the Kudos too i have a good friend who is raising them and he has been showing me the ropes. But i find forums can get you down to the nitty gritty of it all.

Hey Ben, welcome neighbor, (CT here). Tell your fiance that roaches aren't that bad and if she let's you keep them when you move in with her that you'll give her an engagement ring and you're golden. Just some advice. Oh, BTW, I see your college textbooks, majoring in marketing eh? Good luck!!

She got the ring already so maybe i should consider bribing for a bigger wedding haha. Not marketing but cybersecurity but good eye on the textbooks! Thanks for the warm welcome!

Haha now i know why it looked like marketing.....that book is from my e-commerce security class! So yeah i can do a bit for the online portion, would love to go to the white plains show but i have some previous plans, it would be ideal though so i can scope out a couple cresties. But i'm sure i can check out the next show.
