Plus the animal life is everywhere, we saw everything from spotted eagle rays to a hawksbill sea turtle, spotted eels, all kinds of parrot fish, peacock flounder, you name it. It was a blast. Some of our dive mates saw a reef shark but we missed out on that But I did get to see a lot of barracuda! Last summer was my first diving season, so I'm not all that experienced, but we have a few fresh water scuba parks around where I live that I will be frequenting this summer. It's so much fun!
Anyhow, Thanks again, I'm glad to be here!
Thats sweet, I havent gone to the bahamas for diving yet. I'm not that expirienced either LOL. I have gone out on the eastern coast, like a few shipwrecks around Wilmington,NC and a few spots on the gulf coast. As well as a few swamps and stuff around here (though the swamps aren't as much fun ) Can't wait to go scuba diving in Costa Rica though

Costa Rica is definitely on my top 5 must go to list. I'm dying to go! I also want to go to Honduras, Austrailia, Venezuela, and Bonaire. My boyfriend went to bonaire the summer before we met and loved it! he's got some awesome pics. I like freshwater diving as long as it's spring fed and the visibility is decent. A friend of mine got certified in puget sound!! Crazy! She said it was freezing cold and you couldn't see a foot in front of your face! That just ruins the whole experience if you ask me... There's also a place in Austin that I hear is decent, at Aquarena springs, and there are a lot of introduced species of cichlids and other fish and the visibility is great for freshwater. Plus, You have to get a 'scientific diver' certification, which they'll do for you in like 2 days, and after that as long as you perform some task to help keep the river clean you get free tanks every time you go! They give you a specific task like picking up garbage or cleaning algea from the training area. I can't wait to go there this summer I think it will be cool...

Hey thanks for introducing yourself! Nice Doberman! I have a black one myself.....Toby, he's 8 years old. It's weird how a dog can be so smart and yet so dumb at the same time!

I know EXACTLY what you mean!! Mine has book smarts but no common sense. I can teach him commands all day long and he learns them and does well, but sheesh, I don't think he realizes how big and clumsy he is!

Welcome! I would love to be a dog trainer instead of my current profession (yack). I've trained a few dogs, mostly border collies, and LOVE the high drive.

I'm a strong believer in one on one with your dog and 100% believe that you as an owner allow your dog to fail by putting him in a postition to do so. There are no bad dogs, just irresposible owners.

I currently have a very dominant female border collie with a high bite drive. I take extra measures to ensure that I don't allow her to fail, as I'm positive she'd nail someone or possibly a child if given the opportunity.

              Good to have you aboard!
