Such a cool gecko! How handle able are they, compared to cresteds?

leaf tails in general are not as handleable as crested geckos. With that being said, the aff. Henkeli are fairly good with it. I rarely ever have mouth gaping with my CB animals. They do like to jump a little more than the cresteds, so keeping them near the ground is important. They get 8" to 9" so they are very manageable and they are fairly easy to keep. The setup is similar to a crested. The aff. henks seem to prefer more vine in their tanks and the temps are a little higher...but not much.

The yellow underneath the baby's thigh reminds me of the bright yellow patches on Hyla versicolor. Is this yellow coloration specific to this white individual? Or do all hatchlings have these patches? (I can't see any yellow in the pictures of the parents you posted so I'm wondering if they grow out of it)

They do grow out of it. It is not specific to white individuals, it just stands out more because of the contrast.

It'd be cool to see a pic of the underside. Cool gecko!

Their undersides are just white with some markings on the tail.
