So I was tong feeding my leoperd gecko the food fell out of the tongs no big deal but the gecko bites the tongs and wouldn't let go eventually the food that fell off distracted it and it let go but what should I do if it happens again?

Just hold on until the gecko lets go. Sometimes they get mixed up between the feeder and the delivery method, or their aim is poor. I don't use tongs, I use my hand when necessary and when the gecko misses it hurts!

I guess you could experiment with how to place the worm in the tongs and how high to hold the tongs so the gecko can't really get to them. Will the gecko eat at all on its own? Have you tried super worms (bigger and harder to miss) or crickets?
