Hi I struggled to get some closer views of my Chahoua's parts, (Lol) in-order that someone might be able to confirm if Oak is a he or she!
Oak is about 9 months old & weighs 30g.
I always refer to Oak as a he but I could well be wrong looking as these pictures but I am no expert in this field.
I understand that it can be difficult to determine the sex of a chahoua & I might need to wait a while longer.
Peoples opinions about if they think they can confirm one way or the other would be most appreciated.
    Thank you

Ps sorry I meant to attach this to my previous post but something went wrong when u I was uploading images & started all over again & didn't realise was a new link.

I find it very hard to pore-sex chahouas, but if I compare the pictures of Oak to the picture of my male Urmel (shown in the "swollen vent?" - thread), the region where Urmel has his pores looks much smoother in Oak, and at 30 g Urmel was also showing a bit of a bulge already, whereas I only see a skin fold in Oak.

I remember taking Urmel to the vet at 39 g, and while I was not 100 % sure of his sex then, it took my vet one second to tell he was definitely a boy. So I think if Oak reaches around 40 g you will know for certain, but for now I would say it looks more like a girl.

I don't know if you remember his thread, but the gecko finally decided to come out as a boy at 55 g :

Anybody else willing to suggest what gender Oak might be?

It's still hard to see if there are pores or not. But at 30g you would be able to see a noticeable bulge forming. I'm leaning female. Honestly, it is very easy to sex them by using a 60x jeweler's loupe, which is $8-$10. I bought one awhile ago and it's been one of my best purchases.

I tried by best to get the reasonable pictures.
However Oaks not too keen on me taking the pictures of his/her bits
Soon as camera had focussed Oak move on!
I'm thinking more towards girl myself.
I will see if I can order a loupe but will take time for it to arrive so in meanwhile other people's opinions/ views about gender of gecko would be appreciated.

Hi I'm still struggling to establish if Oak (chahoua)
is a girl or boy have tried taking some picture with loupe can anyone confirm either way I'm really not good at this.
If still not clean I will try to take some more pictures when I get my camera out.
    Thanks for your help.

Can you get one that's further out, but still using the loupe? It's too close up lol.

Will try oak is a nightmare to try to take a picture of as soon as I move the loupe back a bit he moves on & all I have left is either a closeup of my hand or the chair!
