Default Stuck Shed, or Something More?

All, I am looking for opinions about one of my Cresties, Stitch. I noticed this week that two toes on his left rear foot were stuck together. I first attributed this to probably a bad shed, and could see that there was shed left on other body parts. Two nights ago we gave him a sauna, and gently cleaned him with a Q-tip. We were able to separate his toes and thought all was fine. Tonight as he was sticking to his glass I noticed that his toes were stuck together again, and something just didn't seem right about his foot. As he made his way across the glass he didn't seem to use it in the same manner as he was using his other feet. I don't know if this is still a shed issue and he is favoring the foot because his toes are linked, or if there is another problem going on. His humidity cycles and temperature have been fine. I use paper towel for substrate. Let me know what you think… Please see the attached photo

UPDATE: I just noticed he was on the floor near the front of his terrarium. He does not appear to be putting any weight on that foot or really even using that leg. I am actually quite concerned at this point that there is something wrong.

This is a good reason to take this gecko to the vet.

I forgot to post an update yesterday. Saturday morning I did take him to the vet, and it turned out to just be a very bad shed. The vet was able to go through a series of soaks and shed removal with tweezers and got him all cleaned up. He has never had this problem before, but I will definitely be keeping an eye on it.
