Default Crested Gecko has me worried.

I've never had a Crested Gecko before and I decided to get one. I bought a six month old Crested Gecko that came with a tree frog from craigslist. When I first got him, he was like a beige color. He was eating and he looked healthy. But a few days after I brought them home, he began to get dark weird coloration all over. I was thinking it might be that he is fired up from stress after being in a new environment, but I'm starting to think that is not the case. He's been like this for days now and has stopped eating. What do I do?

I can tell you that they do change color and that sometimes it seems as if they're not eating. Nothing so far looks abnormal. Let's see what others think.

I agree, he looks fine to me. He may have been getting ready to shed when you first got him, and sometimes they seem to look lighter when they're ready to shed. This now might be his true color, or he may change a little bit yet as he gets older.

They can sometimes go quite a while without eating. Do you have a gram scale where you can keep track of his weight, like once every week or two? If he's not losing weight, he is probably fine.

    What are you feeding him?

I don't have a gram scale, but I was planning to get one. He is eating Pangea, Repashy, and one or two crickets every week.

I wouldn't worry too much about the color. Moreso just watch the weight. Walmart carries gram scales that are not expensive. You're feeding just fine.
