I don't think I've seen a pattern like that before. (But I'm still kind of a newbie.)

    Anybody - help with this?

Are there actual pins along his sides (below the dorsal)? Can you post a side shot? Quad pins, if I am getting this right, have 4 rows of pins. Plus, pattern is hard to see from the top.

Btw he/she sits on a tree thing thatís almost touching the top of the cage and spends like most of the morning and afternoon there (at noon he usually goes and sleeps in the leaves) but is that bad?

He's just checking things out. Totally fine. They are arboreal, so most of them like to be up high a lot of the time. And they usually do prefer to "hide out" during the day.

Just a quick 2cents in case there's any confusion, Quad stripe isn't just a line of color on the sides, there is also the presence of raised scaling, like the dorsal spikes. I THINK I may see raised scales, but side shots are hard, Top down view would be easier. If he does possess the trait, its a 'poor' impression of it.

This is a 'poor' presence of quad-striping. Easiest to see from above the gecko. This is my Malakai:

You can see some scales within' the white that are sticking out but i wouldn't call him a quad-strip because the presence of it is so minuscule.

He looks like he has enough patterning on the legs to be classified as a Harlequin, but some may call him a Flame. He also possesses a very nice Pinstripe trait, although not a 100% pinstripe as I do see a spot towards the tail where a scale is absent, he's pretty close.

    PS:
Here's a very nice example (although not the best I've seen, pretty darn good) of a quad-stripe:

I'm going to say flame partial pinstripe, but he's very close to 100% - only one or two pins missing.

What a cutie! I love this last picture!
