    Default Total Solar Eclipse...

I am in the path of the TSE That will be happening tomorrow... I've heard that it can stress out animals, and that we should keep a close eye on them to make sure it doesn't mess them up a whole lot. I was wondering about my cresties... will it mess up their sleep? Should I do anything with them? Thankfully it only lasts for a short period of time.

If your geckos are indoors and don't have natural light falling on them/are subject to artificial light, it shouldn't affect them at all.

I have also heard that domestic animals that are used to being indoors and having the ambient light not totally dependent on the sunlight are generally unaffected. I hope you enjoyed the eclipse. I traveled from the Boston area to southern Idaho just to see it and had a wonderful experience.

FWIW, my geckos slept through the whole thing.

It was not like I expected, didn't get half as dark as I was being told lol. It was pretty awesome though! Not everyone got the experience it, but I sure am glad I did! Hope everyone was safe and used proper glasses.

I missed it while trying to shove a huge snapping turtle off the road so it wouldn't get hit. Ha!
