Default My first garg! Morph help?

So I have owned cresteds for a bit now, hatched a few even. But of course how could I walk into the Reptile super show and leave without a new addition. I saw this garg and fell in love! Priced at 95, got him/her for 80 from Tony's Geckos.

Was labeled as a Red Stripe/Blotch but I haven't gotten to really understand the garg morphs yet. Does this seem accurate?

Hi at the moment I would go with an aberrant red striped/blotched gargoyle gecko.
The aberrant striped Gargoyle is a pattern that is made up of stripes, broken stripes and or blotches along the sides.
Or alternatively it could simply be a red-striped blotch.
Do you know how old he or she is as their colours are so variable & can sometimes take a while for complete patterns to be clear?
Either way Lon Lon is very pretty, congratulations.

But again I can't say myself as I am just learning.
I'm guessing somewhere around 3-4 months old, only 3 grams (although I know weight isn't a sure way to tell but)
Thank you so much! Helps a lot I got confused cause I didn't know they could be striped AND blotched.
Is aberrant the same as mosaic or is that different?
Thanks again for the help! I love learning about new critters

Hi I would not say super stripe as he has irregular striped pattern on his side stripes, not the so called clean stripes.
He is most likely heterozygous striped Gargoyle as these tend to have irregular striped pattern & some blotching.

Mosaic & aberrant are not the same.
Mosaic is a variant of the banded pattern where as aberrant is usually from the striped.
Morphs can really get quite confusing &gargoyle colouring can really vary so much.
A good book with lots of pictures about various morphs is 'Gargoyle Geckos' by De Vosjoli, Repashy, Fast. Quite expensive but lots of colour photos & explanations in the book.
