Default A few pics from the West MI pet expo this past weekend...

Our herp society displayed at this expo again this year...the expo gives us tons of freebie space since we attract a lot of visitors! We had everything on display from geckos to anacondas to large lizards, plus care and conservation information and merchandise. Here's just a few of the pics I snapped over the course of the weekend.....

    Atom, our iguana ambassador

    A couple of oplurus quadrimaculatus

    greyband king

    our handsome redback chuck

Azul, one of our cyclura lewisi hybrids

Scrub & Bubbles, who are always the stars of the show

    Part of our display...

Harvey, with another member of the society

Clifford the big red dog meets Clifford the big red tegu lol

And just because they're so cute, a couple dogs that belong to a friend that does dog rescue, and Echo, the deaf boxer, who is a certified therapy dog with Mid-Michigan Boxer Rescue

Some of these shots look like they should be in a newspaper or something to pimp the event Thanks for sharing them!

(By the way it creeps me out that I can see the person's face in Clifford's eyeball. People in mascot suits freak me out anyway.)

Unless we act now to stop illegal trade, we will eventually find only a dust bowl, emptied of all its forests and animals.

So glad I'm not the only one!

We do two of these big expos per year....this one, which was in Grand Rapids, and an even bigger one that's held every year in November in Novi (http://petexponovi.com/). There's no animal sales, but everything else you can think of......tons of rescues and shelters doing adoptions, vendors with supplies, food, treats, etc, avicultural groups, aquarium societies, contests, a petting zoo, breed-specific education groups, flyball and agility, search and rescue dogs, and usually a cat show.
