    Default At a loss

Like the title says, I'm at a loss for this guy. He was a rescue for MBD and extreme malnoureshment. He was a good 40 grams underweight and his tail was pretty kinked up. His MBD has stopped and he's only 8g away from our goal weight of 50g and is doing great. The only thing is that his calcium sacs just will not fill back up. It's been months and I have never seen his calcium sacs. I've tried supplemental calcium I've tried rescue Cal and I've tried liquid calcium and I've tried adding calcium to his pangea but to no avail. Any solutions?
This is the boy in question, he won't open up long enough for a picture of his mouth.
A lot of you know him as Bumble

I would try a little UV to help with cal uptake or a little cal with D3 to help.

My vet had me add UVB for 8hrs a day to Freya's cage to help with her absorption problems. She also gave her a magnesium supplement that we had to mix into her repashy. Freya is already up to 29g and her calcium sacs look awesome. We were in the same boat as you when we first rescued her and she wasn't growing or gaining much weight no matter how much she ate. The magnesium helps them absorb calcium so that may be what you need.

Thank you both! Will get him into a glass enclosure so I can get my UV light on it and I'll try to take him outside to get some sun as well. If that doesn't help after a couple weeks I will go buy some magnesium.
