The eye to snout ratio looks a little longer like a PI and also yes they more commonly will have white shoulders/collar. But that is not a definitive way to tell, so if lineage is uncertain he/she would be unknown locale (possibly mixed). Regardless, chewies make awesome pets, I'm sure you will enjoy the heck out of him!

Yes I will, he is already such a character. Ideally I would have liked to have known lineage but they are quite difficult to come by in UK & once I saw him I could not resist him (or her) & reptile centre were not sure either. Anyway I love him either way he such a comical hunter of his crickets yet so cute. Also I don't have breeding plans for him I concentrate on gargoyles but I couldn't miss out on getting him!
    Thanks.

He loves dusted crickets & i had tried some tiny meal worms but cautiously as I know that some species have difficulty breaking the worms down.
Does anyone have experience with Chahoua's & meal worms?
He does seem to love them & I am cautious not to allow him to have many but would like to know if this is wise or not.
    Thanks

What a cool-looking little dude! How does their care differ from gargoyles? Do they get bigger than gargs?

    Hi thanks.
He/she should grow a bit bigger than typical gargoyles.
I'm treating him pretty much the same as my gargoyles but he does seem to like the warmer side of the tank where my gars are not really fussed about heat, well it seems that way.
I don't have breeding plans & I understand that's a bit more complex mainly to do with the calcium, formation of the eggs & laying them.
He eats like a little pig, at present eats all live food that I have provided, crickets, calci worms, mealworms, tiny wax worm, he also eats all flavours of Pangaea. Once he spots the live food he visually locks on & then suddenly goes for it, such a little hunter!
Def likes live food much more than my gargoyles, they eat it but not with the enthusiasm he seems to show for it.
It's hard to explain but they walk differently too & seem to keep closer to the ground or surface they are climbing.
I am becoming very fond of the little guy he has very similar eyes to gargoyles & that's what attracted me to gargoyles initially was their beautiful eyes, they are both so amazing geckos.Name: IMG_20170224_222540.jpg
