    Default male or female?

    I bought my gecko in august last year, so shes about 6 months old now.
    Is it to early to identify the gender of my gecko?
    From the looks like it she appears to be female? Heres a foto.

    It is more about weight than age. How much does your gecko weigh? Also you'd need a much clearer and closer picture to determine if it has pores.

    I will weigh her soon, and try to take a better picture tomorrow.
    how much should my gecko weigh to know the gender?

    Usually the gender is clear if the gecko is more than 25 grams. Some males have visible pores as small as 5 grams, though.

    we will need a clearer and closer photo. average weight is about 15g or so for visible pores, but some are late/early bloomers. my male was 7g when he got a buldge and I purchased him at 5g and I could see pores.
