    Default Crestie + Makeshift Macro Lens

    So awhile back I got annoyed that I couldn't take closeups of my geck, and decided to remedy it by painstakingly holding up a loupe to the back-camera of a smartphone. Surprisingly I managed these shots:





    I thought they were super neat & wanted to share.

    Great detail!

    Is your gecko about to shed? On mine, the claws are much more visible.

    @Treebiscuit, thank you! Hmm I actually don't remember... :o That's interesting, I'll have to check today when I handle her to see if her claws are like that all the time or only if she's going to shed! I know they "retract" to some degree, if not voluntarily, so maybe the angle of her foot (since she's walking forward, bending her wrist) causes the claws to pull in more? idk!
