    Default Madagascar Day Gecko

I am trying to get the lighting and temp right but can't seem to get the night time to stay above 75*. Her tank is usually at 72*. I'm wondering if I should be using an under tank heat mat for the winter months?

A higher wattage bulb for heating will work, you can put cardboard on the sides and back of the tank as insulation to keep the heat in throughout the night.

When it gets cooler outside, I would keep a red light on all the time for my day geckos.

Madagascar temperatures can drop quite low during their 'winter' months (mid to high 60s) so I wouldn't be too concerned. I live in the UK and don't give them any night time heating at any point in the year

I've recently acquired a Madagascar Day Gecko, and I bought a aqua vivarium..it has more and a few Dracaena plants, the temp is fine but my humidity is at 99% right now with the red night light on...will that harm the Gecko? I think I may have too much moss in the terrarium, I'm also concerned with mold? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm new to all this so go easy on me lol
