Baby chewies are so addictive! I was totally obsessed with little Urmel :-).
Here are pictures from when I first got him (Jan 28/29). He was only 6.5 g then!

This one was maybe a month later. I love the typical chahoua pose!

Somewhere in the Rhac photo forum I also posted a cute picture of 7.5 g Urmel sitting on a 7.5 g blueberry :-)

Thank you for sharing! Urmel seems to have blossomed with some more red coming out, and I just love how that white speckling seems to outline pattern in the collar area Plus tail curl never gets old, lol.

My little one is 5.2 g and the only pic I took was through the deli lid, I will need to take many more once he/she is settled. Can't wait until he/she is old enough to sex, I never like choosing "official" names without knowing gender.

Yes, naming can be a challenge not knowing the gender. But Urmel is named after a book character (Urmel aus dem Eis = Urmel from the ice) who hatches from an egg frozen in a stranded iceberg, and since it is still a baby, its gender is not known. His name could roughly be translated as 'little prehistoric creature'. I figured that would work for both a boy and a girl, and I still think it is a perfect name for a chahoua

He is starting to color up! Urmel shed a few days ago, and now some beautiful green is popping up here and there. So excited! .

Looking more and more like his namesake
