    Default New Crestie Intro!

We rescued a pretty skinny Crestie male about a month ago. He just finished quarantine. He was put in with my two female Cresties (supervised ofcourse), and he was licking one at first, then biting and wouldn't let go. He injured his previous tank mate, I was told he tore off part of its foot. So we have them separated for now. Iwas just wondering what would be proper behavior vs aggressive behavior?

Proper behavior is him biting her until he finds her crests, then he will hold on and try to copulate. I'd only let him breed with the girls under supervision (not with females if no one is there to watch) because he is more agressive

^^^ I agree. Here's a website on breeding cresties: http://jbscresties.com/breeding.html. Good luck and have fun with the many little babies to come!

While you are on JB's site check out the health section. It mentions a quarantine period of at least 2 to 3 months.
