    Default Crazy female

Heres the 411 i got 2female and a male all breeding size and age and the females i do believe were gravid before the male i have was with them. Both females loved to be handle till yesterday when the one female was shaking her head and making a weird noise is this because she is about to lay a clutch or is something wrong with her.Any info would be greatly appreciated

I read somewhere that if she is having convulsions all over her body its a sign of MBD. I dont know if this is what shes doing and I am no expert with cresteds by no means but I'd definitely keep an eye on her. Maybe someone else can give you more info on it.

The female has her tail and last time i weight her she was 40g she dont seem she lost any weight. When i handle her she only does this head shaking if i touch her belly and shes not dropping her tail so she cant be that stress right? She is acting normal and walking normal .Any info would be greatly appreciated

Well if your are sure that it is not MBD, and you say she only does it when you pick her up then it could be stress. Cresteds will drop their tail but not over every little thing that scares or ticks them off. Just because she hasn't droped her tail when you have her out dosen't mean that she is not stressed and telling you to back off. A few of my females get grumpy before laying.

Also, ( I am not grammer wiz but..) take a moment to look at your post before posting it. The only thing people here know about you is what you post and if your post keep looking like they do you will not get many replys.

I would think that an animal can be stressed and still not drop its tail. Just my opinion, though.

Weight doesn't always have too much to do with calcium - are you sure she's getting enough? What are you feeding her? It's hard to tell from your description exactly why she's shaking. If you're absolutely positive she's just not wanting you to pick her up, stop handling her for a couple of days. One of my geckos shakes her tail every single time she's going to strike at a live food item, but she only shakes her tail, not her whole body.

To me, I just think she's very annoyed with you bothering her. My girl, Cerce, has made some very grumpy noises at me along with the head thing when I'm bothering her and she wants none of it. Maybe just let her be for a little while, let her stress level come down.

It may have something to do with her clutch but that's beyond my knowledge.

My female does the same thing right before she lays. She does it whenever any other the others get near her, or if I touch her. Leave her alone for a while... if you keep poking her she has a high chance of becoming egg bound due to stress.

Also, like Pueblan said, please check your posts for grammar.. it's tough when you have to read something a couple times to understand the main point, and most people usually won't respond to them.
