    Default Temperature

It's begun getting colder here and Rimbaud's tank is frequently dipping as low as 18 Celsius so I was wondering if that's dangerous, I'll be getting another mat stat tomorrow to put on the second heat mat that we're fitting but if I can't get to the shop is she likely to get ill?
Rimbaud can be found at rimbaud.renton.es - if she feels like it!

Squiggle can be found surveying her kingdom, no website for this one though...

Maybe if she were kept at that temperature for a prolonged period? She should be fine until you can get another heating pad though.

We have the pad but no extra stat. She has a heat mat on the other side that is controlled by a stat to keep that side at 27 Celsius because when researching it said to have a gradient...

To be honest, I'm more concerned that the humidity isn't going up despite everything being dripping wet once a day. Mostly because it's not getting warm enough in the tank for the water to evaporate at all so during the day it drops as low as mid 40s for humidity.

At night it's quite hard to get the humidity up because of the lack of warmth too. Everything is wet but the tank isn't very humid

18 C (64 F) is not too bad and is not dangerous as the nighttime low. I would say under 13 C (55 F) is getting to a concern. A gradient is great but not at the expense of possibly overheating the tank.
