Default Cresteds ribs showing a notch

my crested, which is about 9 months or so has his ribs showing a bit when he is in a curtain position.

he is fed everyday, crix and CGD which stays in his tank 24/7 if he decides to go for it.

he has skin thats loose around some body parts but ribs sometime make him look like he is starved.

was just wondering is thats normal

I know my biggest crestie still has ribs visible if she's laying a certain way, and she eats a ton. Are you sure it's eating? Food/crickets gone missing?

A pic might help if you can get one up here.

I have the same problem... my crestie eats like a pig... if I put baby food or cgd in there, there is a large portion of it missing by morning and if I put crix in there they're usually gone in a few hours...

I know that with all four of mine their ribs show sometimes. I think it's because their skin is so thin it clings to the ribs sometimes. As long as they're eating and not losing weight they should be fine. If you have a picture that would be great.

How long have you had him? At nine months they should be going through (or about to go through) a major growth spurt which with move them into adulthood. Do you know how much it weighs?

Looks pretty healthy-sized and well-fed to me, if that pic is fairly current. If you're concerned, monitor his weight and make sure he's consuming food.

I agree, he looks good. Just keep an eye on him. Maybe he's just a slow grower, but she should put on a bunch of weight in the next 3 months.
