favorite groups (music)

I know we recently discussed favorite foods, how about your favorite bands/groups?? I listen to a little of everything, but I prefer good Hip Hop. and I'm not talking about the crap you hear on TV and the radio. My favorite group is The Living Legends. (LLCREW.COM)
I like The High & Mighty, I Self Devine, The Micranots, Mars Ill, EPMD, KRS 1, Erick B. & Rakim, a lot of 80's rock music such as Sting and the Police, Duran Duran, Sade, Phil Collins, U2, and I love Midnight Oil. I also listen to quite a bit of Reggae music when I'm zooted. Ya Mon --- How bout u??

I listen to some 80's rock too. Like Billy Idol, The Cure, Depeche Mode, A-ha, and stuff like that. Mainly I like some metal, hard rock, alternative basically anything rock, but I am very picky with my music. I am not a fan of rap, r&b, hip hop, or country lol. But I have too many bands I like to name. So I am just going to leave it at this!!!

Oh wow, I listen to everything. I like the Kidney Thieves, Switchfoot, Lifehouse, Disturbed, and the list goes on and on.... (yes, I also listen to country)

Stuff I can't stand... sorry, but most hip hop and R&B drives me CRAZY. Hate that stuff... it's as bad as yodeling. I hate rap, but the old stuff from the 80s still cracks me up. (Hammer Time!) :P

I love Tool, thats where my creepy avatar came from, and I also listen to a lot of classic rock, like Led Zeppelin, Floyd, Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, and that type of stuff. Hate country but I like bluegrass, it's kinda like country but with soul. 8)

sarah your too funny!! I feel most people dislike hip hop because they are not familiar with it, all they know is the negative garbage they try to feed you on TV and the radio and I hate that stuff too. So I don't blame you. What I listen to is conscious music. Positive music with a message.

Bluegrass is rad! I saw a contempory bluegrassish band play a few years ago and decided that I haaaad to go out and buy a mandolin. I've only played it like 10 times since.

But it's cool to have I guess.

Some of my favorite bands are Linkin Park, Offspring, Breaking Benjamin, Exies, and Dave Matthews. I listen to a little of everything though (except country).

I only have one cd and its of rainforest/ ocean waves (yeah its pretty pathetic. I'm just not a big music listner.

I recently started to like skindred there awsome and Run DMC but I like Punk,Death metal,Heavy metal anything Rock or Metal and Punk.

LOL...fun reading everyone's favorite music!! Is it just me or (to the heavy music listeners among us), does the music one listens to sort-of define one's personality? Especially when you see a long list of things someone likes...kind of shows a bit about who they are???

Maybe I'm just crazy...kinda hate to list my favorites after my opening paragraph

Well, Shinedown totally rocks! I also listen to Three Days Grace, Disturbed, The Killers (awesome live, btw), Breaking Benjamin, Nine Inch Nails, Metalica (old stuff ONLY), and (drum roll) Sarah Mclachlan :wink:

Ok, so I listen to a bit of everything, but lean towards newer rock most of the time. I will also listen to pop...and actually adore Sarah...she was awesome in concert as well. I really love seeing music live...whole 'nother aspect, ya know? For example...I've also been to Megadeth, Velvet Revolver, Nickleback, etc. concerts...and I don't really listen to them any other time (Nickleback more than the first two

).

I do also occasionally listen to r&b...rap, and LOVE opera...

Love salsa too...but go see a couple bands that are really good near me that play every week more than listening to it on a regular basis. Love to salsa dance!!! Really don't listen to country...unless it doesn't SOUND like country...LOL! Tons more, but I've already said too much!!

Well, now that I've written a book...

...guess I'll call it a day!!

PS...ALMOST FORGOT: Moxy Fruvous is TOTALLY awesome...eh?!?!?!
