    Default Chahoua Pastels

I've been away from the hobby for some time so with coming back, I wanted to secure some nice colorations in my Chahouas. They are extremely fired as I immediately snapped photos upon their arrival.

Chahoua female, vibrant orange and red. California Breeder's Union bloodlines. Stole away from Black Panther Reptiles. Thank you Kai.

Chahoua male, red and greens. He was uber fired and stressed, almost black. I will have to post better pictures when he settles. The Minagerie bloodlines, out of Mr. Bubbles and Tabitha. Purchased from LainaMania.

His color is slowly creeping back. He was nearly jet black when I unpacked him.

And last but not least, just hatched so s/he is still at the breeders...

Chahoua, unsexed, pastel. The Minagerie bloodlines, out of Thistle and Blossom. S/he has a heart on her/his back. <3 Photo courtesy of Mina.

I hope these load correctly. I'm using my phone and am on no sleep since I sat up waiting all day for FedEx. (Deliveries in the KC area where delayed due to the Boston marathon bombings and increased security measures.)

Color on chahouas will increase as they age. It's hard to know as a hatchling, what the end result will be, however you have the fun in raising a juvenile and you get to watch them surprise you with colors as the get older.

There are several great posts on chewies but this one really grabbed my attention. It's a long thread but it's worth the read, especially if you are just starting out with chahouas.

These are my personal pets. I am not sure if I will breed but right now I have no intention. I just want to enjoy my geckos for a while.

Chahouas take time to mature so I have at least a year before I could breed anyway. Better for me to enjoy their beauty and awesomeness.
