    Default slow growth rate

alright so i have these two clutch mates that are taking forever to grow!! i have another about a month younger that is exceeding their size. i feed all of them the cgd with calcium every other day and offer crickets and all that good stuff.

im sure it's a common thing but i have one that has stayed the same size for a month and a half! i checked their calcium sacs and they are fine in that dept...

anyone else have frustrating late bloomers?

I have a "runt" too. He is his mom's first baby. I asked the breeder I got the mom from about the situation and he said that happens sometimes with the first clutch. The eggs were small and the baby is too. She just laid her 2nd clutch a 3 weeks ago and they are much larger eggs. Mine is eating great and very active, just growing slower. IMO I wouldn't worry too much as long as all other things are normal, eating, pooping, sheding, temps, good cage, etc.

I too have a "runt" she has taken much longer to grow than a similar sibling. They arrived together, same weight, same size. One grew and ate crickets and is now breeder size. The runt is still growing and is just now excepting crickets. So, yes I too have had frustrating and late bloomers

Well, now I feel much better. My little Faizal is still "little" compared to his clutchmate, Sara'ah. He's growing, but not fast like her. And much slower than any of my other hatches. I even had to hand feed him at first... and he still waits for me to do this, but he has learned to eat on his own. Spoiled little fella.
