    Default Live plants?

I'm considering planting some live plants in my crestids cage... just wondering if there are any certain plants I should stay away from or any that people know their cresties love?

the easiest plant to care for is Pothos. when it gets droopy, water it. that is pretty much it. as well as some light. i don't know what plants other people use.

I use all kinds of different plants for my vivs, i personlly like the Dracaenas (sp?) and bromeliads. I have a bromeliad called Billbergia nutans whci his super hardy (touch wood) and its flowers are stunning.
I also use mosses, and ferns and some trailing ficus
You'll need to find a website listing all the commonly kept plants and there toxicity though, some are really bad for animals

I just decided to plant live in my terrariums last week. I've got a ficus in each, as well as two pothos, two ferns and two ivy. Both my girls seem to love all the extra places to hide and sleep, and it has the added bonus of keeping the humidity up in the tanks as my apartment gets extremely dry in the winter.

Aesthetically, it looks quite lovely, as well.

pathos, hostas, snake plants, etc...work well.

I have two of my sub-adults in a 29 planted tank. One loves the hosta and the others can't get enough of the snake plant. There are some assorted smaller plants in there - their names I don't know - but IME unless the plant is known to be toxic, I just pick out ones that look good. The cresties are not eating them so I don't worry about that.

sorry to dig up old posts.....i know pothos is accepted and i saw someone mention ficus....so i was wondering are all ficus ok, or is their a certain one (dont know if toxicity is different)....and what about schefflera aka umbrella plants.....

alot ofmy plants are based on whats ok for my chameleon...so i was trying to see if cresties can have some of the same so i can re-do both cages at one time

    thanx again
