    Default More H. coronatus pics

All of my Orchid mantids molted into adult, and they're all females. Luckily, a friend has a mature male, so soon enough I might be posted mantis porn

    Photos are by Shawn Billerman

Besides the "porn", will you be posting any here for trade or maybe on www.mantidforum.com ? If so, I'd like 10 or so...

I LOVE those. Great pictures. I'm glad Derek said something about the crowns I would have missed them!

    Thanks for the complements, guys

Unfortunately, my breeding plans are pretty much shot for now. I've been having issues with all three adult orchids. They no longer want to eat crix and mealies that I had them feeding on as juvies. They only respond readily to flying prey, which I cant find enough of to sustain them. I already lost one. If I can get the other 2 thriving, then maybe I will still get to breed them. However, before I get any more mantids, I need to have establish myself some cultures of about 5 feeders - fruitflies, large fruitflies, houseflies, and one or two moths. Thats just a pain, and I've considered not getting any more
