Default What morph is my crestie?

    A couple questions:

    1) Out of sheer curiosity - as I've been asked this question before and didn't have the answer - what morph would you say my crestie is? I never asked the breeder I got her from simply because I have no intention of breeding her so it really didn't matter, plus, to me, she's beautiful no matter what.

    Thanks for any input!

    2) Substrate - I currently have my crestie on paper towel, and she's about 9 months old. At what age would it be safe to keep her on plantation soil? I feed her CGD and crickets in a tupperware container so there'd be no concern of substrate ingestion through eating, but can soil substrate cause problems in young geckos for other reasons?

Thanks. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong forum. I was unsure with two questions which forum would be most appropriate - Mods: please feel free to move this if that is the case.

Sorry I can't help, Mine is similar pattern, with less on her sides but the pattern on top is the same, except she's a green shade... whatever she is she's really pretty!

I would call her a Harley She has a little too much pattern to be a flame in my opinion, and if she ends up going creamier she would be a called a 'blonde harley'. Morph's can be a little tricky at first, but visit the morphs forum to see more examples of each morph!

As for substrate if you really want to switch her, she should be fine, although paper towels are just so wonderfully easy to clean/sanitary but if you are going for a live viv she should be perfectly fine!

She is a pretty Harley. I would wait until she gets albeit bigger until you use plantation soil. Probably about 25 grams? I don't use anything but paper towel for my geckos. So hopefully someone more experienced will chime in.
