Crenellated. That should be a New Trait. :P

Do you guys think that all color morphs could belong as a subsection of established morphs? We could do that but some would belong to more then one morph but thats not a big deal.

    I concur.
I actually named Klimt... well, Klimt because that type of patterning reminds me of Gustav Klimt's paintings..

You could always do a section that was called "Color Morphs/Traits" and then provide like "A creamsicle could be Flame or Harlequin or Extreme Harlequin" with a link to each.

To me either that or separating out the traits that cross morphs makes the most sense, given the current morph structure.

If we ever do end up with REAL morphs (piebald, albinos, etc) in crested geckos, then I suspect EVERYTHING we're talking about will likely end up just "traits" rather than "morphs."

I think, too, that there could be a color thread of its own and to just say what type of cresties these colors show up on. Then they have the "morphs" threads and then a fun special color thread and the color thread can lead them right back to the morphs threads.

I also think that like Laural said, once we hopefully -crosses fingers!- have things like piebald and albinos then these will probably be moot-point. Well. Not moot, but our whole concept of what a crested gecko is and can be will shift

    Other Common Descriptions or OCD
Creamcicle - The inherent need to compare a crested gecko to an ice cream treat.
Tricolor- The inherent need to point out the obvious, unless you are color blind.
White walled- The inherent need to compare a crested gecko to your car tires.
Calico- The inherent need to compare a crested gecko to your pet cat.

Disclaimer... These terms have little or no value to anyone who comes across them. They are intended to satisfy the obsessive needs of gecko enthusiasts to label things to make themselves feel better about having a category for all of their geckos. Without this labeling, they will loose their minds and be in a constant state of panic and confusion. These terms are subject to change dependent on the individual to whom you are discussing them with.

Haha, gotta love it! The way I see it, once genetics catch up with us, we get to do it all again!
