    It really doesn't have as much to do about "space" as it is behavior. Some geckos will just not tolerate another gecko in "their" enclosures. Sometimes visual barriers will help alleviate the tension between rivals, but sometimes the best thing to do is separate. Glad you've done that!

    UPDATE: My little guy has shed off the necrotic tissue and the end of his tail is healing nicely. Thank you to everyone who provided advice in my moment of panic
