So the one baby gecko that we took from the store - we knew would have problems. They housed the little 5 wk old crestie in with coco husk and he swollowed a rather large piece and it went through the digestive track. The store removed the piece from the vent while my b/f was at the store. We got it for 1/2 the price because it was lacking a tail and it may not survive. 60$ is still a lot but we couldn't bare to leave him there to have that happen again.
The last 3 days he's been leaking clear fluid from his vent and when it dries it kind of goes white. I know I need to take them to the herp - but if anyone has any idea how I can ease his pain until the weekend? Or at least help him survive until then? He's very cute and loveable and loves to lick the water - he still seems to eat, he doesn't seem lethargic and he's fully alert so I'm not insanely worried. I have flagyl powder but I have no idea how to use it; the one reptile store we went to ages ago gave us a sample first aid kit and it has that in it but it doesn't say how much to use and I do not want to poison the poor little guy.
Anyway - I know there's not much anyone can do - but any idea's I'd appreciate it.
Oh and We have stopped feeding him crickets (we gave him a few Sunday just in case but the vent wasn't leaking then and we just got him Sunday) he does take a few licks from the CGD and the bowl was empty this morning...
