    Default getting them hand tamed

i bought a male and female a couple weeks ago. well i gave them some time to relax, but the female is SO afraid of me, she jumps all around. i mean it's crazy how she just won't sit still, not even in her cage. i want to hand tame her. she is 9 months old. the male is bad too, but he will tolerate me holding him better than the female. he is getting used to it. by the way, this is the Bright Red/Pink one. do you think some are just more Hot Wired than others?

I got one of my females around the same age as yours and she's been really spazzy for as long as I've had her. No amount of handling has calmed her down, so she must be naturally jumpy. There's no harm in trying though (as long as you don't overdo it) so just keep handling yours regularly and hope she settles down.

it is only a few minutes at a time, and i don't over do it. every gecko that is tame has gone thru this.

just tonight in her cage my hand was in there and she walked onto it, so maybe it is working. she might come around.

I have the opposite, my male won't let me come close to picking him up. I think some just are like that.

I think with age they tend to calm down. Especially if you hold them alot

i think she would bite if given a chance, but she is also still very small. i'll keep trying. this is why i hope to hand tame some of my hatchlings before sending them off into the world.
