    Default Virgin Female Eggs Questions

Our one gecko lives in a planted exo terra. Yesterday I decided to plant two new plants in there and as I moved the ecco earth around I discovered two eggs. Luna is a virgin female and can not be bred due to her crooked hips according the the breeder we adopted her from. She has been living with us since mid December and the breeder told me that it was possible but I figured since we had not found any since she has been her then it may not happen. How often might be lay eggs? I'm worried with her hips about getting egg bound should I be doing anything special for her? I have never seen eggs before in person but these don't look like eggs I have seen online. Could she be lacking something? How bad do her hips look? She does have FTS also. I should be able to feel the eggs next time right? Now that i know she can lay I will try and handle her a little more to keep any eye on it. She was amazingly calm yesterday. She is fed cgd and I'm trying with roaches but so far she has zero interest loved her crickets but I figured roaches would be better for our little crew.
I'm guessing they were layed sometime in early-mid May? The beginning on May she weighed 59.2 and three weeks later she was down to 56.8 and she has been hovering between 56-57 since then. I remember turning the dirt over sometime in May but these were buried down to the cloth we have over the bio-balls.

hmm...unless you candle them, the eggs seem poorly calcified and probably infertile. 59g is pretty big for a crested gecko. If they are infertile, if other infertile eggs are coming and she doesn't have enough calcium, she can always absorb them. BTW overweight females can have reproduction issues, and as i've stated before, a gecko in the high 50s is pretty big. maybe a picture of her sideways can help determin if she is naturally big (like also having a big head). If she continues laying, you might want to add some calcium with her food, but not an overdose and you should definetly consult with a vet about how much to add, if she even needs any, and how her hips will handle the egg laying process.
